Researcher User Experience Report: Seminars You Can Return To
Prepared by the LiteRec team from authorized user feedback · Updated October 13, 2026 · Based on LiteRec 1.2.4
Online seminars can contain more detail than anyone can retain from a single viewing. Olivia Bennett describes the value of having recordings available when returning to the material later.

User feedback
I attend quite a few online seminars, and there's no way I can remember everything. Having recordings to go back to has made my research workflow a lot easier.

Make useful material available again
Olivia’s feedback concerns revisiting seminars as part of research. The value is not limited to the live session: a recording remains available when a question or detail becomes relevant later. The saved explanation remains there when a new question arises.
Preserve the details that matter
Charts, equations and experimental procedures need readable video. LiteRec’s presets offer choices, while spoken discussions may suit audio-only capture. A short sample should confirm legibility and complete sound before a long recording.
Smaller files can help with storage planning, but file size alone does not establish that evidence is complete. The storage experiment explains the conditions behind its figures.
Keep sources beside the recording
For this use, the LiteRec team recommends retaining the title, speaker, date and source address with the media. Local transcripts can be checked for technical terms and numbers, with important passages linked to their position in the recording.
Text helps locate material, but it cannot preserve an unspoken chart or replace checking a formal citation. If AI helps organize notes, separate explicit speaker statements, your interpretation and unresolved questions.
Keep the research judgment
The feedback illustrates the convenience of revisiting material. LiteRec supplies recording and transcript tools; research conclusions, literature checks and citation decisions remain with the researcher. Record only where permission allows, and decide what can be shared before using an outside AI service.
